MATTHEW MWANGI
My name is Matthew Mwangi, I’m 18 years old, and I’m a multi instrumentalist from Wayzata Minnesota. I graduated from Wayzata High School class of 2019. Drums and percussion are my primary instrument but I also play guitar, bass, piano, as well as sing.
Music has always been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. I started with pots, pans, and Tupperware from the kitchen as a small child. And when I was six years old, my mom bought me an old blue sparkle drum kit she found at a pawn shop in Alexandria MN. I then picked up guitar at the age of nine, bass following shortly after, and then piano in middle school.
My inspiration comes from the many types of music I was exposed to in my life. My rhythm comes from African and Latin music, my feel from funk, r&b, and reggae, and my energy and power from rock. All these make me the musician I am today.
MASON MEYERS
NATHAN LOESCH
Nathan Loesch is a trumpet player, educator and composer based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. His unique sound and musical diversity has allowed him to become a highly sought after musician for both live performance and studio work. Nathan has found ways to encompass elements of rock, jazz, hip hop and classical into a sound that is truly one of a kind. He firmly believes that music is a creative expression of life, and this belief has allowed him him to work with big names such as Tommy Barbarella, St. Paul Peterson and Charles Lazarus. Nathan is the bandleader of local band Beneath Green and the trumpet player for The Arcanes, both active performing groups in Minnesota. Outside of music, you can find Nathan exploring his passion of dolphin taming, and just enjoying life!
JUAN ELMER RODRIGUEZ
Keyboardist, guitarist and singer songwriter from Minnesota helped during a few studio sessions with the translations and pronunciations of lyrics. Helping Izzy Cruz translate her thoughts to a language that's still somewhat foreign to her without losing the sentiment behind the words.
BEN GUALTERI
Ben Gualteri is an experiential musician based out of Minneapolis Minnesota. He comes from classical roots. Gualteri finds ways to transform his sound into any style of music with trombone composing, singing and educating. His musical obsession with hip hop, jazz, soul, blues, rock and low-fi genres making collaboration with a variety of musicians is his passion. Catch him jamming with local rock band The Arcanes or leading multiple ensembles with his own music arrangements and at Creative Arts Secondary School in Downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.
